Bio

Marc David Wright (he/him) is a theatre director, performer, and teaching artist based in Brooklyn, NY. Co-Founder and Artistic Director of The Village,

an independent arts collective connecting emerging artists with audiences at thirteen sold-out Salon events in New York, and 1 in LA (iminthevillage.org). Marc is currently a member of the Roundabout Directors Group, Cohort 7.

He was named a Finalist for the 2025 Eugene O'Neill Center Musical Theatre Conference for his contributions to the new science-fiction romantic comedy 

Planet W, along with writers Matt Coakley and Franco Giacomarra. Theatre: The Children’s Hour (Fordham U/Mimes & Mummers), HAIR NOW: A Musical Protest for Palestine (Judson Church), Self Tape (Downtown Urban Arts Festival - Winner! Best Play 2024), Planet W: A New Science-Fiction Musical (Ars Nova ANT Fest 2024, Cast Album Now Streaming), 

Singfeld! A Musical Parody About Nothing (Now Playing Off-Broadway), Dark Play or Stories For Boys (Edinburgh Fringe). Marc is a proud drama director and teaching artist at several high schools and children's theatre programs. Fordham Theatre 2019.
